Family Friendly Programming

The need for more family-friendly programming has been identified as a need in downtown Mannington.

Mannington Main Street’s board of directors regularly plans and or promotes events for families to enjoy in collaboration with the City of Mannington, Buffalo Creek Arts Coalition, Forks of the Buffalo BBQ, other non-profit groups and community members.

Our Community Events include:

The Great Easter Egg Hunt (Y-teens, Mannington City Park)
Citywide Yard Sale the day of the annual Joel McCann Canoe Race (Mannington Volunteer Fire Dept)
Wintergarden Park Concert Series (City of Mannington)
Forks of Buffalo BBQ Throwdown and Pageant (Fork of Buffalo BBQ)
Halloweentown (local businesses)
Christmas Parade with Santa with Christmas Tree Lighting and Kris Kringle Market Christmas Cookie Crawl fundraiser (local businesses)
Peace Light Ceremony (Boy Scouts, local church groups/musicians)
Pepperoni Roll Drop (Buffalo Creek Arts Coalition)
Antique Truck Photo-op (Lawn of Mannington Post Office)

Mannington Main Street’s board of directors is currently working to obtain funding for infrastructure to make the Water Street/Wintergarden Park area a designated location for food trucks and vendors with electric and water hookups.

Mannington Main Street is always looking for ideas and suggestions for temporary and permanent infrastructure for families to enjoy!
