Mannington Works Together to Show Community Pride!
Folks around Mannington have really pitched in to show our community pride!
Just to name a few....
* Volunteers from Main Street, Kris Bates and Something Special (Anthony & Regina) planted the flowers in the baskets and on the bridge.
* Mountaineer Florist - Virginia, Andy and Crew supplied and planted beautiful baskets for the bikes around town.
* Something Special filled the antique truck to the brim with gorgeous flowers.
* The Professional Edge donated installation of edging around the antique truck (which has graciously been allowed to be placed at the Post Office - Thank you Jami Trowbridge) and BerTeas added flags to the truck flowers for the 4th of July. The truck had previously been decorated over the past autumn, Christmas and spring seasons by Mountaineer Florist, Something Special, Nativibes and Robin Smith/April Fittro. The antique truck was purchased by Mannington Main Street last fall after Sally and Charlie Kolb located and arranged the purchase and Spanky Shadrick from North Marion Towing towed it home to Mannington.
* Mary and Paige Lowe filled the interior of the edging around the antique truck with river rock, which the guys from Millers Hardware helped to haul over.
* Ted and the City crew installed a self-watering planter as a trial on the pole in the corner of bridges. If successful, the self-watering planters will cut down on the flower watering. Did we mention.....the city crew is awesome and makes sure the flowers are watered and looking great all summer!!
* Something Special filled the new self-watering planter with a patriotic mix of flowers and BerTeas added flags.
* All of our businesses and citizens of Mannington show pride every day by decorating, planting flowers and maintaining our properties.....and IT SHOWS!!
If you would like to help spread good news of things happening in town and would like to help out when you can, but may not have time to attend monthly meetings....join the Mannington Momentum Crew and help us when your available!
